At Lausanne Collegiate Incheon, our Elementary Preparatory and Elementary School programs are designed to spark curiosity, inspire a lifelong love of learning, and nurture the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively. We view these early years not simply as preparation for the future, but as a vital stage where students begin building the mindset, skills, and values that will guide them throughout life.

Elementary Preparatory : Building the Foundations of Curiosity

In the Elementary Preparatory program, students begin their formal learning journey in a joyful, developmentally appropriate environment. Through hands-on exploration, creative play, and guided inquiry, young learners build essential skills in literacy, numeracy, communication, and collaboration. The program also emphasizes healthy habits, emotional awareness, and the confidence to participate actively in their learning community. These early experiences provide an important opportunity for each child to discover their strengths and begin taking ownership of their growth.

Our Early Program engages students in core subjects such as English, Math, Science, Music, and Physical Education, while also offering enriching classes that support the whole child. Handwriting strengthens fine motor skills, focus, and early writing confidence. Character Building fosters respect, responsibility, and positive social relationships. Dance encourages creativity and self-expression, while Library time nurtures a lifelong love of reading. Together, these experiences establish a strong, well-rounded foundation for future learning.

Elementary [G1-5] : Growing confident and Caring Learners

As students enter the Elementary years, they deepen their academic understanding while continuing to explore curiosity and personal identity. Our curriculum combines core subjects with daily exposure to the arts, physical education, and languages, enabling students to make meaningful connections across disciplines. Differentiated instruction encourages them to ask questions, take risks, and build resilience.

Our teachers serve not only as educators but also as mentors, modeling empathy, integrity, and a growth mindset. Through strong relationships, structured routines, and consistent encouragement, students develop self-discipline, responsibility, and positive peer connections.

Elementary school is more than preparation—it is a launchpad. Students begin to see themselves as capable learners, caring friends, and active members of their community. They learn to reflect on their actions, support one another, and take pride in their work.

At this level, students strengthen academic skills in English, Math, Science, Music, and Physical Education. Character Building across all grades promotes responsibility and respect, while Speak & Shine develops confidence in public speaking and communication.
